The Local Menu & What to Order The kitchen turns out reliable, scratch-made tavern staples that hit every classic pub craving. Crowd favourites include the crispy beer-battered fish and chips, deep-fried pierogies, and the signature Local burger paired with hand-cut fries. Vegetarians and vegans are well accommodated with choices like the house veggie burger and vegan tuna salad sandwich, best paired with a pint of Ontario craft beer from the rotating draught line.

Know Before You Go Seating is strictly walk-in only, and the front room packs in tightly on evenings when live roots, folk, and jazz musicians take the stage. The easiest way to get here is via the 504 King or 506 Carlton streetcar, as street parking along Roncesvalles is scarce. Doors open at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon on weekends, keeping the taps flowing until 2:00 a.m. nightly.
