What is The Garrison? Anchoring Dundas Street West near Dovercourt in Little Portugal, The Garrison has operated as one of Toronto's most essential artist-run music venues since musician and promoter Shaun Bowring opened it in 2009. The room is split between a low-lit front bar built for casual neighbourhood hangs and a dark, 250-capacity back room with a low stage built for loud, sweat-soaked sets.
