The Federal on Dundas West is the sit-down sibling of Gold Standard’s sandwich counters—a brick-walled brunch room that still puts a Gold Standard breakfast sandwich on the menu, then expands into Cubanos, burritos, and Canadian comfort plates with a cocktail program for the long linger. Brunch runs daily from about 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; dinner returns most evenings midweek through Saturday. Walk-in energy is the default on weekends, so arrive early if you want a booth without a wait.
