The Arepa Republic is a premier Venezuelan fast-casual counter located in the North Lane (Unit K1) of the historic Waterworks Food Hall at 499 Richmond Street West in downtown Toronto. Having pioneered Toronto's food-truck arepa movement before opening this permanent culinary outpost, it specializes in handcrafted, naturally gluten-free white cornmeal arepas griddled crisp and stuffed with authentic Venezuelan fillings.

The Arepa Republic Menu & What to Order Every arepa is made to order with a crunchy griddled exterior and steaming soft interior. The iconic Reina Pepiada—filled with cool shredded chicken breast tossed in creamy avocado and lime mayonnaise—is the undisputed favorite. The hearty Pabellón packs slow-shredded flank steak, sweet fried plantains, black beans, and crumbled white Venezuelan cheese. Non-meat options like the Domino (black beans and queso blanco) delight vegetarians. Add a side of golden fried Tequeños stuffed with gooey cheese and crispy yuca fries with garlic dipping mojo.
