Named in homage to umami—the savory fifth basic taste—it is celebrated by neighborhood residents for its precision knife work, fresh sashimi flights, and warm family-style hospitality.

The 5th Taste Menu & What to Order The sushi bar specializes in pressed and flame-torched delicacies. Top orders include the Umami Pressed Salmon Oshi, brushed with sweet soy and torched tableside with a touch of Japanese mayo and jalapeno. The signature Dragon roll and Torched Spicy Tuna Maki showcase crisp tempura shrimp and rich spicy tuna. For cooked fare, patrons order sizzling Beef Teriyaki served on cast-iron hot plates, crisp shrimp and vegetable tempura, and silken Agedashi Tofu simmering in savory dashi broth.
