What is Taline? Occupying a two-storey brick stretch at 1276 Yonge Street just north of Summerhill station, Taline is an upscale Armenian-Lebanese dining room established by brothers Sebouh, Saro, and Serouj Yacoubian in memory of their late mother. Chef Sebouh (formerly head chef at Mamakas Taverna) brings classical finesse to heritage family recipes, backed by a warmly lit, olive-toned space with leather banquettes, custom local art, and open kitchen views on the ground floor.

Taline Menu & What to Order Start with the piping-hot house matnakash flatbread dipped into banru—a creamy three-cheese whip laced with chili jam and charred parsnip—alongside the delicately spiced lamb or fish kibbeh nayeh. Do not skip the mante, delicate spiced meat dumplings submerged in garlicky yogurt and bright sumac-infused tomato broth, or the grilled akhtabut (octopus) plated with green harissa and sunchoke purée. Pair the meal with an Anjar cocktail (a clarified pandan-pineapple rum milk punch co-created with Drink Masters finalist Tao Zrafi) or explore their curated cellar of hard-to-find Armenian and Lebanese wines.

Limited walk-in bar seating is available on both levels for spontaneous diners, though weekend wait times can mount quickly.
