Owner May Brand preserves the space's fiercely independent, queer-friendly soul with dim red lighting, mismatched vintage furniture, and a sheltered backyard patio. It remains an unpretentious, dog-friendly staple with an enduring anti-establishment edge.

Sweaty Betty's Menu & What to Order While it carries the look of an old-school dive, the drink program punches above standard rail drinks. Order the house-favourite Teenie Pickletini shooter—a quick hit of vermouth and vodka followed by a sharp brine chaser—or a balanced, citrus-forward Paper Plane. Cold local draft beers and classic pickleback shots flow steadily alongside a tight roster of casual bar snacks and vegan-friendly bites.

Know Before You Go Seating is strictly walk-in only with no reservations accepted, and both the front room and the back patio pack out quickly on weekends. Street parking along Ossington is virtually non-existent, so arrive via the 501 Queen streetcar or 63 Ossington bus. Doors open at 3:00 p.m. on weekdays and 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, serving until 2:00 a.m. every night.
