Street Grill

What is Street Grill? Tucked into a strip plaza on Don Mills Road in Hillcrest Village, Street Grill channels the kinetic, smoky energy of an after-hours Chinese night market. The room evokes a moodily lit nocturnal alleyway, detailed with raw wood accents, classic Chinese lanterns, and a compact upstairs dining area designed for boisterous crowds.

Street Grill Menu & What to Order The charcoal hearth commands the kitchen, turning out charred skewers crusted in cumin, chilli, and salt—the lamb and beef skewers are non-negotiable table stakes. Complement the skewers with Sichuan-inflected small plates like wok-tossed spicy clams, foil-boxed garlic enoki mushrooms, and the town famous sweet and sour pork. For deeper, more adventurous textures, order the smoky braised pig's trotter and the crisp, aromatic boneless pork ribs wrapped in perilla leaves.

Know Before You Go Operating every day from 4:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m., this is an essential late-night dining post in North York. The policy is strictly walk-in for standard tables, so expect waits during peak evening hours, though larger groups can phone ahead to secure the upstairs loft. Free surface parking is readily available in the plaza lot.
