What is Stelvio? Anchoring Dundas Street West on the edge of Trinity Bellwoods, Stelvio brings the distinct alpine and metropolitan culinary traditions of Lombardy directly to Toronto. Founded by Milanese natives Giacomo Erba, Anna Erba, and Andrea Copreni, the space pairs warm exposed brick and crisscrossing Edison bulbs with an understated, intimate trattoria aesthetic. Seating spans a cozy dining room adorned with vintage Italian design posters, street-facing window perches, and a lively bar counter.

Stelvio Menu & What to Order The kitchen specializes in hard-to-find northern Italian staples alongside refined seasonal pasta dishes. Start with the sciatt—crisp, deep-fried buckwheat fritters oozing with melted cheese—or the thinly sliced bresaola carpaccio. Standout mains include the signature pizzoccheri di Teglio coated in rich melted cheese and savoy cabbage, the saffron-infused Risotto alla Milanese crowned with braised ossobuco, and handmade short rib agnolotti. The restaurant is easily accessible via the 505 Dundas streetcar, with metered street parking available along Dundas. Stelvio serves dinner Tuesday through Sunday and is closed on Mondays.
