St. Michael’s Emergency Department is downtown at the corner of Victoria Street and Shuter Street — one block northeast of Queen and Yonge — not through the Queen Street hospital doors. Official unityhealth.to/areas-of-care/programs-and-clinics/emergency/ calls it a regional trauma and stroke centre open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Switchboard on the hospital location page is 416-360-4000; mailing address remains 30 Bond Street. The Peter Gilgan Patient Care Tower is the campus you see from Queen; the ED is a separate walk-up. First-timers: do not enter at Queen Street and try to wander through. You cannot park at the emergency doors (ambulance only); Unity Health recommends TTC, Queen station north exit. This is an adult trauma and inner-city emergency department, not a dedicated pediatric ED.
