Situated along Browns Line in South Etobicoke's Long Branch neighbourhood, Sourdough Garden is baker-artist Kirsty Leith’s brick-and-mortar evolution from sold-out runs at the Etobicoke Farmer’s Market. The bright, unpretentious shop operates primarily as a grab-and-go counter fronted by display racks of golden, slow-fermented loaves and shelves of local pantry provisions. There is virtually no sit-down seating, keeping the vibe focused strictly on high-turnover neighborhood bread runs and pastry pickups.

Sourdough Garden Menu & What to Order Every loaf is shaped by hand using 100% certified organic, unbleached flour, benefiting from a minimum 24-hour slow fermentation with zero seed oils or artificial preservatives. First-timers should secure the crusty Sprouted Seed Sourdough Loaf or the savory Olive Sourdough Loaf, while weekend visitors must aim for the chewy Sourdough Bagels. Sweet tooths are well served by the oversized chocolate chunk sourdough cookies and pillowy cinnamon buns, and aspiring bakers can even take home a jar of Leith's lively, active sourdough starter.

Know Before You Go Service is strictly walk-in only, and limited daily bake counts mean high-demand specialty loaves and weekend bagels regularly sell out before closing time. Street parking is straightforward along Browns Line and neighboring side streets, while transit riders can hop on the 123 bus heading south from Kipling Station. The bakery is closed Mondays and Tuesdays, with doors opening Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m..
