Serving generations of Serbian and Eastern European locals alongside neighborhood bar-goers, this unvarnished tavern pairs cold European beers and fruit brandies with hearty Balkan comfort food.

Skardarlija Bar Menu & What to Order The kitchen specializes in charcoal-grilled Balkan meats that pair naturally with drinks. The defining dish is Cevapi, spiced skinless minced beef and pork sausages served fresh off the grill inside warm lepinja flatbread with raw chopped onions and creamy kajmak cheese spread. Diners also seek out Pljeskavica, an expansive Balkan-style spiced burger patty, slow-braised sarma cabbage rolls stuffed with seasoned ground pork and rice, and crisp Karađorđeva veal schnitzel rolled with kajmak.
