Anchoring Dundas West near Trinity Bellwoods, Rhum Corner is restaurateur Jen Agg and Haitian-born artist Roland Jean’s tribute to casual Port-au-Prince drinking and dining culture. The compact, dimly lit room is styled with checkered flooring, a hand-painted mural by Jean, and a massive back bar stocked with dozens of rare Caribbean rums. Seating is casual and intimate, spanning low wooden booths, bar stools, and snug counter perches with a lively soundtrack.

Rhum Corner Menu & What to Order The kitchen turns out straightforward, deeply flavorful Haitian street foods and homestyle staples without fusion shortcuts. Start with the flaky salt cod patties and crispy malanga-root accra fritters dipped in spicy mayo before digging into the signature griot—citrus-marinated, slow-braised pork shoulder fried crisp and served with crunchy pikliz and rice and beans. The baked macaroni au gratin in spiced mornay sauce is a non-negotiable side, best paired with a Haitian fresco shaved ice or a classic dark rum and Mexican Coke.
