Qingzhen's Bao (also operating as Qingzhen's Beef Noodles) is a specialized Halal Chinese eatery situated in the basement food concourse of the Aura building at 384 Yonge Street in Downtown Toronto. Dedicated to the unique culinary traditions of Yunnan and northwestern Chinese Muslim cuisine, the shop is renowned for introducing Toronto to authentic Po Su Bao—a rare, labor-intensive style of steamed bun crafted with layered, flaky dough.

Qingzhen's Bao Menu & What to Order The signature order is the traditional Po Su Bao, where yeast dough is rolled with fat and repeatedly folded before steaming, yielding a uniquely delicate, tiered texture unlike conventional fluffy bao. Fillings range from seasoned halal beef to spicy cumin minced meat and fragrant mushroom greens. In addition to steamed buns, the kitchen prepares steaming bowls of braised beef flank noodle soup, featuring chewy hand-style noodles in an aromatic spiced beef broth garnished with fresh cilantro and pickled mustard greens.

Know Before You Go Qingzhen's Bao is located on the lower basement level of the Aura shopping concourse at Yonge and Gerrard, directly connected to College subway station via underground walkway.
