What is Project Seoul? Perched on the second floor at 355 Spadina Avenue along the Chinatown and Kensington Market border, Project Seoul brings the expansive, design-forward aesthetic of Seoul's specialty coffee culture to downtown Toronto. Founded by Martin Park, the voluminous space contrasts Toronto's typically cramped coffee shops with pale blonde woodwork, cascading greenery, street-facing window perches, and a hidden rear balcony accessed through wall-to-wall folding glass. It serves equally well as a productive daytime workspace and an evening dessert destination.
Project Seoul Menu & What to Order The counter menu leans hard into modern Korean café trends, backing specialty espresso pulls using De Mello beans with vivid layered drinks and shaved iced desserts. The sweet, savoury Iced Corn Cream Latte is an essential order, alongside the silky Strawberry Matcha Latte and calming Camellia Yuja Tea. Desserts hit the mark with fluffy apple mango bingsu, pressed croffles, and slices of Basque cheesecake. Dairy alternatives including oat and soy are readily available for plant-based drinkers.
Know Before You Go Service is strictly walk-in, and while seating is plentiful compared to neighbouring shops, tables fill quickly with students and remote workers during weekend afternoons. The venue is reached via a steep set of stairs with no elevator, limiting accessibility. Arrive via the 510 Spadina or 505 Dundas streetcars for the easiest commute.
