Planet Punjab

What is Planet Punjab? Tucked inside the plaza at 45 Four Winds Drive steps from Finch West station, Planet Punjab operates as a steadfast counter-service spot for robust Punjabi and North Indian comfort food in York University Heights. The compact space is straightforward and casual, offering simple dining tables and a brisk pickup counter framed by warm cultural touches. It largely serves neighbourhood locals and a steady stream of York University students seeking hefty, soul-warming portions without the fuss.

Planet Punjab Menu & What to Order The kitchen leans unapologetically into rich, spice-forward cooking, highlighted by the crisp, golden Channe Bhature and flaky Authentic Amritsari Kulcha stuffed with spiced potatoes and herbs. For richer mains, skip the mild curries and zero in on the Dhaba Style Karahi Chicken or the Punjab's Special Goat Karahi, both packed with ginger juliennes, green chilies, and cracked coriander. Vegetarians are well-fed with rich Shahi Paneer and hearty thalis, while a chilled Mango Lassi provides a necessary counterweight to the creeping heat.

Know Before You Go Planet Punjab is strictly walk-in with no reservations, though table turnover is swift and takeout makes up a massive chunk of their daily volume. The strip mall setup provides easy surface parking, and transit riders can reach the shop on foot within minutes from Finch West subway station. They are open seven days a week, serving from mid-morning straight through late evening.
