What is Pho Nho? Perched on the northern bend of Dundas Street West where Roncesvalles meets the Junction Triangle, Pho Nho (also known locally as Cafe Pho Nho) is an unfussy, late-night Vietnamese haunt. Operating in a space that feels part neighborhood pub, part classic noodle joint—complete with a modest bar rail, TV screens tuned to sports, and a small elevated streetfront patio—it is run as an unpretentious, family-operated dining room catering to neighborhood night owls, shift workers, and noodle purists.

Pho Nho Menu & What to Order Simmered low and slow, the beef bone broth here is aromatic and clear with an assertive star anise and cinnamon finish; the classic Phở Đặc Biệt comes loaded with rare beef, tendon, tripe, and beef balls alongside heaps of fresh basil and bean sprouts. Beyond pho, the kitchen turns out an exceptional Bún Bò Huế with lemongrass heat, alongside a savory, deeply comforting Bún Riêu made with shrimp paste and tomato broth. For dry noodles and rice, order the Cơm Sườn Gà Chả—a generous platter of char-grilled lemongrass pork chop, grilled chicken, and steamed egg meatloaf served over rice—and wash it down with a strong, condensed milk-dripped iced coffee or a cold beer.

Know Before You Go Tables are strictly walk-in only, and while early evening dinners move briskly, late-night crowds rolling in after midnight on weekends can fill the room fast. The restaurant operates on a cash-only basis (with an ATM located near the door), so stop at a bank machine beforehand to dodge withdrawal fees. Located just south of Dundas West subway station and steps from the 504 King and 505 Dundas streetcars, it opens daily at 4:00 p.m. for dinner and stays open well past midnight.
