Pho Golden Star Restaurant

What is Pho Golden Star Restaurant? Occupying a bright storefront at 2532 St Clair Avenue West near Runnymede Road, Pho Golden Star delivers Northern Vietnamese cooking and regional street food to Rockcliffe-Smythe. The casual dining room is straightforward and uncluttered, outfitted with comfortable booth and table seating suited for generous family-style feasts or quick noodle lunches.

Pho Golden Star Restaurant Menu & What to Order While the kitchen simmers fragrant, slow-cooked beef broth for classics like Phở Tái and tender Phở Sườn Bò (beef short rib pho), the menu stands apart through its regional Northern specialties. The Bún Đậu Mắm Tôm arrives as a loaded platter of crispy tofu, pork cuts, vermicelli, and pungent fermented shrimp dipping paste, while the Hanoi-style Chả Cá Lã Vọng sizzles with turmeric fish, scallions, and fresh dill. For communal dining, the signature Xôi Cua (crab sticky rice) is an essential order, best paired with a strong cà phê sữa đá or fresh pennywort juice.

Know Before You Go Seating operates primarily on a walk-in basis, though larger parties and pre-orders for specialized platters like crab sticky rice can reserve by phone. Paid and street parking can be found along St Clair Avenue West, and the 71 Runnymede bus stops just outside the door. The restaurant is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
