The multi-level dining room is no-frills and utilitarian, outfitted with straightforward lighting and large laminate tables primed for late-hour gatherings and communal feasting. Operating for decades, it remains a legendary gathering point for downtown night owls, students, and Toronto hip-hop culture enthusiasts.

New Ho King Menu & What to Order The sprawling menu relies on high-heat wok cooking and reliable deep-fried Cantonese comfort foods. The deep-fried calamari with spicy salt is a mandatory starter with its crisp batter and sliced chilies, followed closely by the sticky, crackling spicy crispy shredded beef. Balance the meal with wok-charred beef ho fun, Cantonese chow mein laden with seafood and greens, or the house special fried rice served alongside hot chili oil.

Know Before You Go Tables are largely walk-in only, and while dinner service is calm, expect packed dining rooms and fast turnover when bars let out after midnight on weekends. The 510 Spadina streetcar drops off directly outside, making transit the best option as street parking is heavily congested.
