Mr. Tasty's Drive In

What is Mr. Tasty's Drive In? Anchoring Danforth Avenue just east of Main Street, Mr. Tasty's Drive In is a throwback fast-casual counter and diner that captures the unvarnished spirit of old-school Toronto. The dining room keeps things refreshingly simple with straightforward table seating, diner-style service, and the steady sizzle of the flat-top grill. It operates as an enduring neighbourhood staple for East Danforth locals seeking honest, filling comfort food.

Mr. Tasty's Drive In Menu & What to Order The menu bridges classic North American diner eats with Greek grill mainstays. The charbroiled Homemade Burger Combo is a reliable standard, flanked by a generous mound of crispy golden fries and a pop. For something heartier, the Pork Souvlaki Dinner comes piled with tender marinated skewers, rice or fries, Greek salad, and garlic bread, while the golden battered Halibut Fish & Chips and thick hand-spun milkshakes hit the retro spot.

Know Before You Go Reservations are not a thing here—it is strictly walk-in seating and takeout. Peak lunch hours and weekend evenings draw a steady stream of regulars, but table turnover is consistently quick. The diner sits a short five-minute walk from Main Street TTC subway and Danforth GO stations, with metered street parking available along Danforth Avenue.
