Mercatto

What is Mercatto? Mercatto at 101 College Street holds its own in the bustling Yonge-Bay Corridor, standing as a relaxed Italian spot within the MaRS Discovery District. This location, one of Mercatto's various Toronto outposts, distinguishes itself with a bright, airy dining room featuring large floor-to-ceiling windows, complemented by a welcoming semi-private patio for warmer days and a dedicated dining area.

Mercatto Menu & What to Order The menu here leans into classic Italian with a focus on fresh ingredients. Must-try pasta dishes include the rich Chitarra Alla Carbonara and the comforting Pan-seared Lasagna, both reliably satisfying. For starters, the Arancini are a solid choice, and the Polpette (veal, prosciutto, and ricotta meatballs) are well-regarded. Pizzas like the classic Margherita always hit the spot, and don't skip the Arctic Char for a lighter main. Finish with their Tiramisu, a consistent favourite.
