Located in the basement beneath Mother Tongue at 348 Adelaide Street West in the Entertainment District, Liquid Courage is a subterranean cocktail lounge operated by Turner Hospitality Group. Accessing the space requires heading inside the dining room and following the portrait of the cocktail-clutching infant down the stairs. The moody subterranean room features glossy black tile, dark floral wallpaper, plush red leather seating, and front-row bar stools.

Liquid Courage Menu & What to Order While curated cocktails like the spiced rum Phoenix grace the lineup, the bar's calling card is its Dealer's Choice program—call out a spirit or flavor profile and the mixologist will build a custom drink on the fly. The bar also serves indulgent dessert cocktails alongside spirit-forward pours. To eat, the kitchen delivers Pan-Asian small plates from the floor above, including crispy mapo tofu, savory lumpia, and steamed bao.

Know Before You Go Reservations for booths, high-tops, and bar seating can be booked in advance via Tock, though early walk-ins can often snag a stool before the late-night rush. The lounge operates seven nights a week starting at 6:00 p.m., making it a natural stop for pre-dinner aperitifs or late-night caps. With Adelaide Street parking notoriously difficult, taking the TTC to Osgoode or St. Andrew station is recommended.
