Perched along Dundas Street West near Ossington in Trinity Bellwoods, Kensei Bar is a Japanese-style listening bar conceived by brothers Juwon and Hansang Lee alongside chef Hyunchan Jo. Inspired by Tokyo's late Showa-era kissaten culture and 1980s nightlife, the moodily lit interior channels a nostalgic vintage lounge fitted with warm wood panelling, floral wallpaper, lace curtains, and spinning jazz vinyl. Patrons can sink into retro living-room seating or grab a perch along the counter bar to watch the mixologists work.

Kensei Bar Menu & What to Order The kitchen serves playful, izakaya-style share plates infused with Korean nuances, paired with a cocktail program split between low-ABV aperitifs, creative riffs, and smoky spirit-forward drinks.
