What is Kababia? Founded by father-and-son duo Abdul and Nayeem Haque, Kababia brings the family's revered East End Middle Eastern cooking directly to Queen Street East near Leslie Street. Operating as a clean, bright quick-service counter with limited indoor stool seating, the space is anchored by an open kitchen and vibrant wall murals. Everything here avoids commercial shortcuts, serving as a welcoming neighbourhood hub for scratch-made shawarma, wraps, and hearty platters.

Kababia Menu & What to Order The entire menu is halal-friendly and built around recipes prepared fresh in-house, from dairy-free garlic toum to falafels soaked overnight and fried to order. The standout order is the Chicken Saj Wrap, rolled in ultra-thin griddled saj bread with slow-roasted shaved chicken, crunchy pickles, garlic sauce, and a sharp dash of pomegranate molasses. For larger appetites, the Kababia Platter and signature Family Platters deliver generous portions of shish tawook, chicken kofta, spiced lamb skewers, spiced rice, garlic potatoes, and house tabbouleh.
