Jazz Bistro is the Victoria Street supper-club date: live music and a kitchen between Massey Hall and Sankofa Square. First-timers: book a table, check the event calendar for the set and cover (covers vary; Mirvish ticket holders sometimes get a break), eat before or during the early set so you are not shouting over the late jam. Friday’s late-night jam (posted 11:30 p.m.–2 a.m. on the calendar) is a different night than a 7 p.m. dinner. Pre-theatre / pre-Massey is the official pitch. This is dinner-and-a-show, not a quiet booth.
