Hennick Humber Hospital

Hennick Humber Hospital is the Wilson Avenue acute-care campus of Humber River Health: 1235 Wilson Avenue, at Keele and Wilson. Official hrh.ca/emergency/ posts the Emergency Department open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; the entrance is on the north side of the building off Wilson. Switchboard 416-242-1000; 211 Ontario lists the ED at ext. 42008 and an emergency psychiatric unit at ext. 43600. On April 10, 2026 Humber River Health officially renamed this Wilson site Hennick Humber Hospital after a $50 million Hennick Family Foundation gift — the corporate name Humber River Health is unchanged. This is North America’s first fully digital hospital and Ontario’s highest-volume community ED (hospital materials have long cited on the order of 135,000–140,000 visits a year). First-timers: do not go to the old York-Finch building at 2111 Finch West — that site is a reactivation / ambulatory campus, not the 24/7 ED. Between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. visitors must use the Emergency entrance or the main south entrance.
