Hometown Road Noodlehouse

Hometown Road Noodlehouse is a family-operated business that brings a refined approach to rice noodle soups to Toronto’s downtown core. Originally established in Calgary over 15 years ago by Jason Lin and Linda Zhou, the noodle shop was brought to Toronto by their children, Angela Li and James Lin, who saw an opportunity to provide high-quality, efficient meals within the city's financial district. The restaurant operates with a focus on consistency and depth of flavour, utilizing a preparation process for their signature broths that can take up to twelve hours. The atmosphere is functional and designed to cater to the high-volume lunch crowd, prioritizing speed without compromising the integrity of the ingredients.
For a first visit, the signature beef brisket noodle soup—made with 100% Alberta beef—is the recommended order. The menu is intentionally streamlined, featuring five core varieties including chicken, seafood, spicy pork, and a vegetarian mushroom-based option, all served with a choice of free-range chicken or vegetable broth. Prices generally range between $13 and $17. As a quick-service establishment located in busy office complexes, the restaurant is optimized for efficiency, often serving dozens of customers in minutes during peak lunch hours. Diners can also purchase jars of the house-made chili oil to take home. While the location at 20 Bay Street (RBC WaterPark Place) serves the Waterfront area, the brand also maintains a presence in the TD Centre PATH system.
