Perched on the second floor at 2655 Yonge Street in Midtown just north of Sherwood Avenue, Himalayan Momo House is an independent Tibetan eatery founded by Tashi Choezom, who also runs the nearby Himalayan Coffee House. A flight of stairs lined with colourful prayer flags leads to an airy, minimalist dining room featuring simple tables, large windows overlooking Yonge Street, and tic-tac-toe boards to pass the time. The space offers relaxed, casual indoor seating built for fast lunches and warm neighbourhood comfort food.

Himalayanmomo House Menu & What to Order The kitchen focuses on handmade Tibetan dumplings folded in-house daily and paired with a punchy garlic-chili dipping sauce. Standouts include the juicy crescent-shaped Steamed Beef Momo, ornate braided Chicken Momo, and soup-bathed Jhol Momo seasoned with fragrant Himalayan spices. Vegetarians have great variety with the pan-fried Paneer Cheese Momo and Vegan Momo, while cold spicy Tibetan White Laphing, deep-fried Shabhaley meat pies, and traditional salted Butter Tea make ideal sides.

Know Before You Go Seating is strictly walk-in with fast table turnover, though the restaurant does a robust local takeout trade and sells frozen momo 20-packs to steam at home. The shop is situated midway between Eglinton and Lawrence TTC stations, with metered street parking on Yonge. Note that the restaurant is closed on Mondays, serving lunch through dinner from Tuesday to Sunday.
