Off-leash dog park

High Park’s off-leash zone is the west-end classic: a large, mostly unfenced designation around Dog Hill and the wooded paths in Toronto’s largest downtown park. GIS maps the OLA near the park’s interior (unlit). It is gated in places but not a fully fenced corral, so this is a recall-training park, not an escape-artist park. Come for the canopy, the social scene at golden hour, and the fact that a walk here can turn into a two-hour loop through Grenadier Pond and the oak savannah. City Rules of the Run still apply, and the park is busy with cyclists, birds, and people on the shared paths — keep your dog in sight. Report issues to 311.
