The Gardiner is the ceramics museum across from ROM, and it is the easiest regularly-free major museum on this list: free every Wednesday after 4 p.m., no advance registration. Official hours (gardinermuseum.on.ca): Monday–Tuesday and Thursday–Friday 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; Wednesday 10 a.m.–9 p.m. (free after 4); Saturday–Sunday and holidays 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Adult admission is $18 other times; 18-and-under, students with ID, and Indigenous visitors are free every day. General admission includes special exhibitions. 111 Queen's Park. Clay restaurant is a separate paid lunch (closed Saturday). This is not ROM — do not mix the free-night rules. Wednesday from 4 p.m. is the walk-up play.
