Freshslice Pizza

What is Freshslice Pizza? Perched at 525 University Avenue on Toronto's Hospital Row, this Freshslice outpost operates as a high-velocity grab-and-go counter catering to healthcare staff, U of T students, and financial district commuters. Founded by Ray Russell in Vancouver before expanding nationwide, the brand stands apart with its signature multigrain dough made fresh in-house daily. The space is purely functional and brightly lit, fitted with a heated glass slice display and minimal standing room rather than sit-down dining.

Freshslice Pizza Menu & What to Order The kitchen's hallmark multigrain crust provides an earthy, substantial bite that holds up well against generous toppings. Go for the popular 2 Slices Combo to sample the creamy, spiced Butter Chicken Feast alongside the smoky BBQ Chicken Bacon. Vegetarians are well served with the Tandoori Paneer Feast and classic Margherita-style options, while sides round out with crispy chicken wings, chocolate brownies, and ice-cold canned sodas.

Know Before You Go There are no reservations or dining room tables; service is strictly walk-in counter service and rapid takeout. The midday rush peaks sharply between noon and 1:30 p.m. as nearby office towers and hospitals empty out, but orders are assembled and heated in minutes. Queens Park and St. Patrick subway stations are both a short two-minute stroll away, and the shop keeps late-night hours catering to night owls and shift workers.
