Freddy's Greek

What is Freddy's Greek? Occupying a sunny streetfront spot at 148 Sumach Street, Freddy's Greek brings classic Hellenic comfort food to Regent Park. The bright, casual room features straightforward dining tables, counter service convenience, and welcoming neighbourhood warmth. It functions equally well as a relaxed sit-down lunch spot or an easy weeknight takeout depot.

Freddy's Greek Menu & What to Order The menu covers the essential Greek taverna canon, prioritizing generous portions and lemon-oregano seasoning. Start with warm grilled pita served alongside house tzatziki, hummus, or spicy tirokafteri, followed by chicken souvlaki skewers paired with roasted lemon potatoes and feta-loaded Greek salad. The slow-braised lamb shank is tender and rich, while the handheld gyro wraps and flaky spanakopita deliver satisfying midday comfort. Round out the meal with pistachio baklava and a cold Greek beer or glass of imported wine.

Know Before You Go Tables are managed on a walk-in basis, and while weekday lunches move briskly, peak takeout and dinner rushes pick up noticeably around 6:30 p.m. Street parking is available along Sumach and adjacent residential streets, and the Dundas (505) and Queen (501) streetcars are a short walk away. The kitchen operates daily from late morning or noon through to 9:30 p.m.
