Franklin Horner Community Centre at 432 Horner Ave (Etobicoke M8W 2B2) posts Friday drop-in pickleball 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. with a $25 punch card for 10 sessions (franklinhorner.org/programs.html, 2026). Tel. 416-252-6822. This is the opposite of The Jar: neighbourhood community-centre energy, fixed weekly window, and pricing that does not require a racket-club membership. Confirm the Friday slot is still running before you go — community schedules change — and bring indoor court shoes. Ideal west-end winter starter if boutique open play feels intimidating.
