Fika Cafe

Fika is the Kensington Swedish coffee break: official site fika.ca puts it in a century-old house in Kensington Market, house-made pastry from scratch since 2013, a book-lined back room, and a backyard patio. The privacy page lists the mailing address as 28 Kensington Avenue, Toronto M5T 2J9; hiring mail goes to info@fika.ca. Since 2026 they roast their own under sister brand Lycka Coffee Roasters (Stronghold S7x); they remain a multi-roaster shop, with a curated pour-over menu weekdays only. A hours grid is not posted on the official homepage — the announcement bar only says they are open for takeout. First-timers: a cinnamon bun and a coffee, because that is the actual meaning of fika; a weekday pour-over if you want the board. The patio is the point in warm weather. No reservations. Do not treat the missing clock as 9 p.m. — check the door or Instagram @fikakensington before a late trip.
