Chef Anthony Rose runs this Dupont Street staple, bringing a loud, energetic take on Middle Eastern and Israeli cooking to the Annex. The space leans into a rustic, lived-in aesthetic that matches the bustling pace of the dining room. It is the kind of place that draws heavily from both Ashkenazi and Sephardic traditions, focusing on a mix of grilled meats and vegetable-forward plates that feel personal rather than overly polished.
Bring a group, because the menu is built for sharing and you will want to sample as much as possible. The whole roasted cauliflower with tahini, pine nuts, and pomegranate is the standard order for a reason, but don’t skip the salatim platters or the chopped liver. It gets tight and noisy inside, so book a table ahead of time if you don’t want to be left hanging. If the weather is actually cooperating, the fenced-in backyard patio is one of the better spots to sit along this stretch of Dupont.
