Dark Horse Espresso Bar

What is Dark Horse Espresso Bar? Anchoring Queen Street East in Leslieville, Dark Horse Espresso Bar is a foundational player in Toronto's indie specialty coffee movement. The space balances industrial heritage and warm communal charm, framed by soaring timber beams, exposed brick, and chandeliers that illuminate long shared wooden tables. Seating covers expansive communal setups, compact individual tables suited for remote work, and sidewalk seating during warmer months.

Dark Horse Espresso Bar Menu & What to Order Espresso drinks are dialed in with precision, producing silky flat whites and sharp cortados that stand up against anything in the east end. Matcha lovers get serious treatment with drinks whisked from Kato Spring Harvest ceremonial grade powder, while seasonal specials like the Banana Milk Matcha and Iced Tiramuccino offer playful, textured twists. For sustenance, order the Dark Horse Bacon Breakfast Sandwich or the buttery turkey and cheese croissant, and grab one of the tender house sourdough scones from the pastry case.
