Cono Gelato is a small-batch gelato venture founded by chefs Jeff Kang and Tosh Agassiz, the duo formerly behind the acclaimed Toronto restaurant Canis. Drawing on their fine-dining background, the pair brings a high level of technical precision to their frozen creations, aiming to bridge the gap between nostalgic comfort and culinary innovation. The shop is located in a quaint takeout space on College Street, where the design features a front window that allows passers-by to watch the production of their signature brown-butter waffle cones.

For a first visit, guests can expect a rotating menu of up to a dozen house-made gelato flavours, ranging from approachable classics to unconventional, seasonal combinations like sweet corn and blueberry or sourdough praline. In addition to scoops, the menu includes waffle ice-cream sandwiches and eight-inch gelato cakes. The shop is designed for quick, high-quality service, making it an ideal stop for those exploring the vibrant College and Dovercourt area.
