Located at 2412 Bloor Street West along Bloor West Village's commercial strip, The Coffee Tree Roastery has been roasting beans in-house since 1988 as one of Toronto's original independent micro-roasters. Founded by Susan and now run by second-generation owners Alex and Chloe, the unpretentious room is defined by the aroma of its active vintage roaster and a floor-to-ceiling wall of whole-bean dispensers. Seating extends across interior café tables, a streetside front patio, and a tucked-away rear patio.

The Coffee Tree Roastery Menu & What to Order The bean lineup spans over twenty varieties, anchored by the long-standing Millionaire's Mixture dark roast, the bright Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, and the bold Espresso Corazon. Pair a pour-over or flat white with daily baked goods like the sourdough blueberry scone or a freshly griddled breakfast sandwich. The counter also stocks savoury lunches like braised beef rib pies and empanadas, with plant-based and gluten-free snack options available.

Know Before You Go Seating is strictly walk-in, with morning counter queues moving quickly during weekday commuting hours. The café sits steps from Jane subway station on Line 2, with several Green P municipal lots within a one-block radius along Bloor. Doors open early at 7:00 a.m. on weekdays and 8:00 a.m. on Saturdays, winding down at 4:00 p.m. on Sundays.
