Chaska

What is Chaska? Anchored along Keele Street in York University Heights, Chaska channels the kinetic buzz of roadside Indian street stalls into a modern, fast-casual footprint. The space features a clean, high-energy dining room with functional seating built for both leisurely solo bites and high-turnover takeout. It bypasses conventional tablecloth formality in favour of quick-service efficiency and bold, evocative South Asian flavors.

Chaska Menu & What to Order Halal-certified ingredients drive a lineup loaded with texture, tangy chutneys, and warming spice. The standout order is the butter chicken momos, which combine delicate steamed dumplings with a ladle of velvety, fragrant makhani gravy. For handheld eating, crisp kathi rolls layered with spiced paneer or chicken tikka deliver a satisfying crunch, while the papdi chaat nails the signature street-side interplay of cool yogurt, mint, and tart tamarind. Wash it all down with a cardamom-laced masala chai or a fragrant, sweet rose lassi.

Know Before You Go There is no reservation list here; counter-ordering keeps lines moving quickly even during the midday student rush and evening campus peaks. Operating hours run reliably late until 10:45 p.m. seven days a week, offering a solid dinner lifeline for the neighbourhood. Drivers will find standard plaza parking, while transit riders can hop the Keele bus or connect easily through York University subway station.
