The venue features a vibrant indoor dining room, an intimate second-floor balcony, and an expansive backyard space operating as Happy's Beer Garden. It provides an unpretentious, festive setting designed for lively group gatherings and open-air summer socializing.

Casa Mezcal Menu & What to Order The kitchen leans into crowd-pleasing Mexican cantina cooking, headlined by crispy beef birria tacos accompanied by rich, savoury dipping consommé. Start with house guacamole and chips alongside a bowl of tomato-citrus dressed coastal ceviche de la casa before moving on to sizzling fajita platters or pork al pastor tacos. Agave enthusiasts can sample dedicated mezcal tasting flights, fresh palomas, and house margaritas, supplemented by local craft beers on draft. Vegetarian diners have plenty of choice, including roasted bell pepper fajita tacos and sauteed vegetable burritos.

Know Before You Go Walk-ins are accommodated across the front dining room and beer garden, but table reservations are recommended during peak weekend dinner slots and warm summer evenings. The restaurant sits a short two-block walk east of Dupont subway station, with limited Green P street parking along Dupont Street. Full kitchen service runs from 11:00 a.m. through late evening Tuesday to Sunday, with dinner-only service starting at 5:00 p.m. on Mondays.
