What is Capi's? Perched along Dundas Street West in Etobicoke near Royal York, Capi's is a revamped neighbourhood institution that has been turning out pies on this strip since 1962. Chef Mike Schillaci (an alumnus of Terroni and Sette Mezzo) revitalized the classic shop into a craft pizzeria dedicated to slow-fermented, high-hydration dough and imported Italian staples. The storefront is straightforward and unpretentious, geared toward brisk takeout and casual counter dining against the backdrop of a roaring pizza deck.

Capi's Menu & What to Order The menu balances old-school comforts with thoughtful Italian technique, built upon a San Marzano tomato base and a custom blend of fresh and aged mozzarellas. The runaway favourite is the Roni, topped with cup-and-char pepperoni and finished with house-made hot honey, followed closely by the Calabrese with spicy 'nduja and green olives. If you prefer white pies, the Tartufata brings wild mushrooms, panna, herbs, and bright lemon zest, while sides like saffron-infused beef arancini and ricotta-stuffed pistachio cannoli round out the feast.
