Canadian Thai

What is Canadian Thai? Tucked into a commercial plaza in Hillcrest Village, Canadian Thai is an unpretentious, home-style staple turning out classic Thai favourites alongside familiar pan-Asian comforts. The snug dining room keeps things casual and straightforward with warm table seating, catering equally to neighbourhood takeout regulars and easygoing sit-down lunches.

Canadian Thai Menu & What to Order The kitchen leans into comforting, crowd-pleasing flavour profiles with reliable execution, anchored by a tamarind-bright Pad Thai and smoky, wide-ribboned Drunken Noodles laced with chili and basil. Rich coconut-infused chicken curry offers warming depth, while crispy vegetable spring rolls and refreshing shredded mango salad provide the ideal crunchy counterpoints. For a standout centrepiece, splurge on the double curry lobster, a messy, aromatic shellfish feast blanketed in savoury yellow curry gravy.

Know Before You Go Operating daily from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., the room handles a brisk midday lunch crowd and steady evening takeout trade. Walk-ins rarely face long waits for small parties, but calling ahead to book is smart for larger groups or when ordering specialty seafood spreads. Strip-mall surface parking is readily available right out front.
