Set inside Victoria University at 91 Charles Street West, Burwash Hall is an expansive all-you-care-to-eat refectory defined by dramatic Neo-Gothic architecture evocative of an Oxford great hall. Beneath soaring timber trusses and tall cathedral windows, long communal wooden tables seat around 250 diners in a bustling, traditional academic hall setting.

Burwash Hall Menu & What to Order The kitchen operates a daily rotating lineup catering to wide dietary spectrums, including dedicated vegan, vegetarian, and Halal spreads. Mornings revolve around made-to-order Belgian waffles, while lunch and dinner bring global comfort dishes like savory Filipino pork adobo, spicy beef vindaloo, and fragrant tadka daal alongside roasted seasonal vegetables like butternut squash and rutabaga. Know Before You Go Entry is walk-in only and restricted to Victoria University and University of Toronto students, faculty, staff, and their guests via a T-card swipe or paying the standard door rate. Expect tight quarters and dense queues around midday class dismissals; visiting between 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. offers a calmer pace. The hall is easily accessible via Museum or Bay subway stations and serves continuously across breakfast, lunch, and dinner through 8:00 p.m.
