Bobbette & Belle is the cake-and-macaron shop you actually send people to for a birthday box: two Toronto rooms, Leslieville at 1121 Queen Street East (the original, airy one) and Lawrence Park at 3347 Yonge. The order desk is a separate clock — Monday–Saturday 11–5 — if you are phoning in a cake. They sell everyday cakes, special-occasion cakes, French macarons, scones, and cupcakes, baked from scratch, with GTA delivery. First-timers: Leslieville is the bakery you walk into; Yonge is the midtown satellite. Tuesday opening means Monday is dark. A whole cake is an order-desk job, not a hope-they-have-it walk-in. Sit down for a latte and a macaron if you want the room; do not treat Queen East like a 9 a.m. bread run.
