Bar Etc. is a cocktail and snack bar located on Gerrard Street East in Leslieville, created by hospitality professional Lee Stein and mixologist Sasha Siegel. Taking over the former space of the Dive Shop near Jones Avenue, the lounge offers a warm, sultry interior featuring curved batten-board ceilings, rich wallpaper, and low-contrast plant accents. Rejecting the classic tiki template, the beverage program focuses on globally inspired, tropical-leaning components paired with savory roots, barks, and spices. The concept brings a creative energy to the East End dining scene, offering a sophisticated yet approachable neighbourhood gathering space.

First-time visitors can expect a tightly curated menu of inventive drinks and seafood-forward small plates designed for sharing. Signature cocktail highlights include an unconventional frozen daiquiri made with white rum, green mango, and curry leaf, alongside a highball utilizing house-made mastic liqueur. On the food side, standout plates range from hamachi crudo and grilled prawns with coconut choka to an Oklahoma-style pineapple smash burger topped with peameal bacon and togarashi aioli. Operating hours run Wednesday through Sunday evenings, with the kitchen serving until an hour before closing.
