Balzac's Coffee

What is Balzac's Coffee? Integrated into the Toronto Metropolitan University Image Arts building along Bond Street, this outpost brings Parisian café tradition into a bright, airy downtown space. The room is framed by soaring glass, clean contemporary lines, and generous counter and communal table seating tailored for studying and quiet conversation. Out front, a seasonal patio catches the Bond Street breeze just steps from the Yonge-Dundas corridor.

Balzac's Coffee Menu & What to Order The counter service leads with dark-roasted house staples and regional specialties, notably the signature Maple Latte and refreshing Iced Canadiano. The Strawberry Matcha Latte and velvety Flat White stand out for those wanting nuanced milk balance, particularly when paired with a dense Oat Fudge Bar or a flaky Almond Croissant. Light savory breakfast sandwiches and a decadent S'mores Cookie round out an all-day menu that caters comfortably to gluten-conscious and grab-and-go diners alike.

Know Before You Go Tables are walk-in only, and seating fills up fast during academic terms between late morning and mid-afternoon. Dundas subway station is a two-minute walk away, making transit far smarter than hunting for downtown street parking.
