A Sunshine Restaurant

What is A Sunshine Restaurant? Located along Sheppard Avenue East just steps from Bessarion subway station, A Sunshine Restaurant (frequently known to locals as Sunshine Spot) is an unpretentious, counter-and-booth morning diner. The room keeps things functional and nostalgic with straightforward banquette seating, no-fuss laminate tables, and large front windows that catch the morning light. It serves as a relaxed neighbourhood fixture where nearby residents and hospital workers drop in for early-morning coffee and substantial skillet fare.

A Sunshine Restaurant Menu & What to Order The kitchen turns out an exhaustive lineup of classic North American breakfast and lunch staples, anchored by customisable egg platters, griddled stacks, and loaded sandwiches. Standouts include the Peameal Bacon Eggs Benedict served with rich hollandaise over crisp-edged English muffins, paired with a mountain of well-seasoned, paprika-crusted home fries. For heftier appetites, the New York Steak Eggs Benny and the house Crab Cake Benedict deliver upscale diner twists at reasonable prices.

Know Before You Go Seating operates strictly on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations accepted. Weekend mornings draw steady family rushes between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., but turnover is relatively brisk. Surface parking is available on-site, and the Bessarion Line 4 subway stop is less than a five-minute walk away.
