VT Insider Tip

Best spectating spots: the start/finish near Queen's Park, the turnaround near the Beaches, and anywhere along Lakeshore. Bring a cowbell or noisemaker — runners love it.

About

The Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon is one of the world's fastest courses and a Boston qualifier. Even if you're not running, the spectator experience is great — the route passes through the downtown core, along the waterfront, and through the Beaches. Half marathon, 10K, and 5K options too.

What to Expect

Race morning means road closures along Lakeshore and through downtown from early morning. 30,000+ runners across all distances. Expect large spectator crowds at key viewing points.

Pro Tips

If you're watching, check the route map and pick 2-3 spots to cheer. The race tracks runners via the app so you can follow specific people. Food trucks and post-race festivities at Queen's Park.

Getting There

Start/finish near Queen's Park (Queen's Park subway). Watch along Lakeshore via 501 streetcar (expect diversions). The Beaches section is reached via Queen streetcar.
