About

The Toronto Santa Claus Parade is a genuine piece of history. Running since 1905, it's the oldest Santa Claus parade in the world and a beloved Toronto tradition. Elaborate floats, marching bands, dance troupes, and of course Santa himself make their way through downtown Toronto on the third Sunday of November.

What to Expect

Two-hour parade through downtown. Expect extremely large curbside crowds. Cold weather (dress accordingly). The parade runs rain or shine.

Pro Tips

Hot chocolate in a thermos is essential. Dress in more layers than you think you need. If you have small kids, consider the less crowded northern stretch of the route near Bloor.

Getting There

TTC to Bloor-Yonge, College, or Queen for different viewing spots along the route. Avoid driving — extensive road closures from morning until late afternoon.
