VT Insider Tip

The church basement perogies at St. Casimir's are the real deal — hand-made by church volunteers. The line is long but moves fast. Worth every minute.

About

The Roncesvalles Polish Festival is one of Toronto's best neighbourhood street festivals. The entire avenue shuts down for a celebration of Polish culture, food, music, and dance. Massive crowds come for the legendary perogies, kielbasa, and bigos, but stay for the folk dancing, live bands, and community spirit.

What to Expect

A massive one-day street festival spanning many blocks. Multiple food vendor rows, two stages, beer garden, kids' zone. Expect huge Saturday crowds — 100K+ visitors is the norm.

Pro Tips

Go early (before noon) for shorter food lines. Bring cash for the church stalls. The craft vendors at the north end are less crowded and have great Polish pottery.

Getting There

Roncesvalles Avenue. Take the 504 King streetcar to Roncesvalles, or TTC to Dundas West station and walk south. Do not drive.
